Marian is currently learning how to "Phear the Phoenix." You probably don't know what that means. I wouldn't worry about it, if I were you.

Welcome!

It would appear that you've found my website. Awesome! I like to use this place as a bit of a creative free-for-all. Please excuse me if things are broken. This site, much like myself, is a work in progress, and dust tends to get lost in the corners for months at a time. (Nothing belonging to a high-schooler should be too perfect, in my opinion.) Hopefully you can find something that interests you here--whether it's writing or my collection of quirky travel photos. (Hint: all of the photos feature a wooly mammoth...)

Feel free to stop in and stay a while!

My Little Red Book cover

Rachel Kauder-Nalebuff, editor of My Little Red Book, recently appeared on the Rachael Ray show to discuss the book, its goals, and her own (cringe-worthy) first period. In case you missed it, the video is still streaming from Rachael Ray's site. Enjoy!

A Propos de Marian:

Marian Firke is a senior in high school. She enjoys theatre and visual arts, and has previously studied trapeze and other forms of aerial dance.

Much of her time is spent working within her school's GSA to promote under-standing and happiness, as well as reaching out to other area schools to collaborate and share experiences.

Her favorite movie is Dr. Strangelove, or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, and she does not enjoy long walks on the beach.
